Historic Documents of Congregationalism
The Savoy Declaration of Faith
The Church today sorely needs solid grounding in the basic tenets of the Christian faith. Sadly, many Congregationalists have lost sight of their doctrinal roots and know little about their common heritage with other Reformed churches.
The principles taught here are those generally promulgated and affirmed by the Protestant Reformers. It is the faith that stimulated and sustained the early settlers of New England and remained the faith of their descendants for many generations.
Our hope is that the review and study of these documents will lead many back to the clear, comprehensive and systematic statement of Biblical truths that have so animated and blessed our forebears. This we pray, will lead many to glory in the great salvation given to us by Almighty God.
